Battle of the Books
Congratualtions to our 3rd and 4th Grade Battle of the Books team for their 2nd place finish. They have worked hard this school year preparing for the district Battle of the Books competition. We are proud of them!
Important Information for Incoming 6th Graders
For the 2025-2026 school year, 5th graders going into 6th grade will now be attending middle school with 7th and 8th grade.

Rockwall ISD has partnered with VU Scholarships to offer more than 1,000 students $2.4 billion in early college scholarship opportunities before they even apply to a university or college.

Rockwall High School’s “Walk the Line” and Rockwall-Heath High School’s “Infiniti” a cappella choirs are headed back to the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) national competition in New York City.

The Rockwall-Heath High School Top 10 students and their families were celebrated during a luncheon hosted by Principal Todd Bradford, high school administration, and counselors.

For its exemplary record of leadership, service and activities that improve the school and community, the Rockwall High School Student Council has been recognized as a 2025 National Gold Council of Excellence by the National Association of Student Councils (NASC) and Sweepstakes Council by the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC). This is the fourth year in a row for both awards.

Twenty Business Professionals of America (BPA) members from the Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy (GBCCA) have advanced to compete at the 2025 BPA National Leadership Conference (NLC), taking place May 7–11 in Orlando, Florida.

The Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees has officially named the district’s fourth middle school Ursula Rakow Middle School. The new campus, part of the 2021 bond program, is scheduled to open its doors to students in grades 6 through 8 in August 2025.
